Congrats! Andy Hampsten got the negative of the Classic Passo Gavia Picture. I contacted Steve and they released the poster with the Profile added. Andy signed it for me and I had it custom framed with pink matting. What would be Grand is a poster of you Mr. Horner on the Angliru with the profile, signed of course. Cheers! Ken Gilchrist
A belated congratulations Mr. Horner! I watched the mountain stages via internet of the Vuelta 2013 and it was absolutely thrilling to watch you battle it out with Nibali and company. Thank you for your commitment to your sport, it really is inspiring to watch you when you race. My heart sank when you crashed out of the Le Tour with that terrible crash that gave you a concussion. However, maybe it was a silver lining on an otherwise potential serious drawback. After all that road led you to become The Vuelta GC champion for 2013! As a father I understand what motivates me to get out of bed to do the best I can for my family. I have no doubt you possess similar views as a family man. Good luck in finding a team next year. Rest assured I will continue to follow your exploits either on the road or as a cycling team director. By the way, I know you have a busy schedule but I hope to see more of your blogs in the near future.

Congrats on a great vuelta, it was really fun to follow the ups and downs over those 3 weeks. Hope you heal fast. Good luck next year!
Are you still without a team for 2014? My team is looking for masters racers. We are a small team but we have fun and I am sure you would make a great addition! :)Again, congrats on a fantastic Vuelta win!
Absolutely fabulous Chris. Best Vuelta ever. It's great to have an American on top of the sport again. The only thing that would have made it better was if there had been American flags along the course. Their absence was saddening. When you get in the Tour next year, I'll be sure to bring along my flag to wave it proudly when you go by. Hopefully Velonews will put you on the cover of their next calendar. I could then put that one next to the one on my bookshelf from 2005. The Green Armada. Wasn't it?
It is not a just world when the great Chris Horner doesn't have a team for next season. I hope someone will soon have the good sense to hire this man for 2014.
Tremendous accomplishments, sorry for the bum luck --- the UCI should have postponed the race, looking forward to watching you next year!
I've always been a huge fan. I'm so happy for your big win in Spain and it's monumentally impressive at your age. It gives me hope!
Dude Awesome Race..inspirational
Gracias por hacernos disfrutar! Eres un campeón! Felicidades y sigue trabajando duro! Gracias desde España (Almería)
Congrats. You did the country and the sport proud. The race was amazing to see and one of the best grand tours I've seen in 30 years. Props on doing it all clean and at 42. Thanks for the hard work.
Congrats on your amazing win, Chris -- Oregon is proud of you. I also applaud you for releasing all of your information. But you don't need to convince me. I got a first-hand look at your amazing climbing abilities a few years ago at the Hood River gran fondo. You passed me on the killer climb while having a casual conversation -- with the woman you were pushing up the hill!
BAD ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!that is all I can say about your win.
There simply isn't a phrase that adequately captures how wonderful your Vuelta victory is. For all of the context, drama, tactics, etc., it was the best grand tour I've ever witnessed. My congratulations on your awesome victory!
Chris I applaud you for posting your passport info and showing you have nothing to hide. You've always been a great climber - the 2013 Vuelta finally gave you the grand tour to fully demonstrate. Anyone who watched the Vuelta saw you were human - physically exhausted, struggling to cover accelerations and generate the watts on the flat time trial stage. Thanks for the inspiring effort.
i must admit i was not a follower till the Vuelta But sure is now what i have seen was pure cycling as i know it and love work a little bit more on your time trialling pity to lose it for because if minute lost there the perfect cyclist as it proves today is a better than average time in trials and a good climber good luck and will now follow you where ever you race
fantástico chris por lo buen ciclista que eres y las buenas carreras que nos as dado felicidades por el triunfo y espero que vengas a la vuelta 2014 saludos desde españa
Grand Tour. Enough said.
Brilliant Chris, simply brilliant. Go USA Cycling!
Congrats on the big win from T-Town!Race till your 50, like a fine wine, getting better with age. Glad to see you were given the shot to ride a grand tour as a leader, that was long overdue. P.S. Thanks for the tube on Kearny Villa when you were riding for Astana. If the "King of Spain" can stop for club rider than none of us are above stopping for any Fred on the side of the road in need of help. You have a fan for life!
Congratulations Chris.....fantastic ride!
Enhorabuena, Chris! Congratulations on your victory in the Vuelta. We continue from your time at Saunier Duval. Keep it for many years. Thanks a lot! Embrace wholeheartedly.
