Love watching you race!! Got questions about gearing-- On Stage 5 of The Tour of the Basque Country, what gears were you using? That last climb was killer! Does anyone in the peloton use compact gears? Thanks, and Good Luck with the rest of the season.

Hey been following you since I started taking cycling seriously myself at the young age of 52...I'm now about to turn 59 and love my bike and watching you guys in the Tours...I remember well reading a tweet about you and some donuts back during the Tour of Cali and I remember seeing you hanging on the back a bit in that...so glad you are trying to add a few healthy items to your diet...I always love to eat and I am only 5 foot. Always trying to take a few pounds off...wish I could eat like you guys...but can't do the super long miles much anymore so I too have to be careful even though I have never been a fast food fan. I need to try the In and Out though. Live in Texas and they don't have one here. I do love a good hamburger and fries and dark chocolate!

Anyway, I hope you have a great season. Really bummed from seeing you have to battle the injuries...so no more! Awesome start this year and looking forward to strong summer for you and the team!!!!! Hey if you see Hincapie would you tell him to defeat the cobbles this year, pleeeze!

How cool was it to see Billy Demong make Olympic History with Gold in the Nordic Combined?

Awesome job today! It is so cool to see you up there so close to the win this early in the season. It is going to be great to follow your successes this year. Keep it up!

Chris, I loved reading about your diet.
When I was in college I was a competitive race walker (instert laughter here). I was such a junk food freak I would race in a Domino's delivery hat I snatched off a driver. I went from Washington down to the Olympic training center in Colorado springs for a bit. I was the only person super psyched about the free Coke in the mess hall.
Not long after I rode down the HWY 101 and HWY 1 from Olympia, WA to San Diego. I think I went through about 8-10 snickers a day and most lunches consited of a king sized and couple of cokes. Beautiful.
Age is cathcing up to me too but a coke on the bike will never be replaced!
Have a great season man.

BTW- have you been to Voodoo doughnuts in PDX, OR? Maple bars with bacon on top! Suck that Whole Foods!

Chris, Looking forward to seeing you pourin on the hurt at the front of the field as usual. Just a quick note about your 'old' nutritional regimen, I gave it a rip while riding my office chair 8 hours a day and... it didn't work out quite so well for me. Guess training and nutrition routines truely are highly individualized, at least I got up to my winter fighting weight!

Well, keep the rubber on the road this year my man, and I got the site bookmarked now(nice work here) so make with some more updates.

Chris:

When are you going to get Snikers or Coke as a real sponsor? I saw you racing at the Tour of Elk Grove near Chicago in August 2009. I saw your girlfriend there with an ice chest, and sure enough she was packin' Snikers candy bars! What a crack up. I'm waiting to see you on TV selling Snikers candy bars. Here's your script as you're riding your bike somewhere sunny in a group of 20 or so professional riders with none of them wearing a Radio Shack jersey: "Snikers, it's loaded with roasted peanuts, nougat, caramel, and milk chocolate. Snikers, it handles my hunger so that I can handle... well.... anything." Right after saying that you launch off the front with a camera view from the back. As you zoom off, pulliing no punches, the camera zooms to the front for a picture of you with a goofy chocolate covered grin as you cross the finish line, arms raised like Eddy Merckx, and with 19 riders in the distance behind you just out of focus. How cool would that be? Be careful when you're haulin' ass into those rain slickened Spanish round abouts. We all want to see you do well this year. Good luck!!!

Sincerely,
Gerard Garcia

Hey there Horner! Caught a glimpse of you yesterday afternoon riding down the 67 from the Poway/Ramona direction; Mellow Johnny's jersey and no helmet was a dead give-a-way. Needless to say, I was extremely jealous - as at that moment, I was heading to my office for a long frustrating day as a bored desk jockey. Would've prefered to be suffering happily in the saddle instead! Anyway, good luck this season - looking forward to watching you kick some @$$! Love the website.....cheers for now, Nick Parker San Diego, Ca.

Chris,
Hello from Southern California. Love the website! You've got such a great way of writing. Love to hear the inside stories.
Love to send some photos to add to your website if you can let me know how. Good luck this season and thank's for making Snicker's a legitimate cycling food!!!

Chris, I love your picture under your biography. What a great website. Your personality really shines through when you write.
You are so warm and fun to listen to. I had to laugh when I read about your diet with the chocolate ho-ho's. Yep, that is my little brother! I hope you have a total kick-butt season. Love you little brother - Angelique

Chris,
Portland follower of yours. Reading your journal in the Oregonian was fantastic and I look forward to more fun reading your web site. Reading your nutrition plan - a good laugh - I've always wondered if LA was making up the Coke and Snicker bar stories. Can't wait for the three amigos to hit the road. All the best to you this season - may you stay upright on the bike!

Hey Chris Horner..... we miss you here in San Diego - 72 degrees today and missing you on PCH or out to Alpine. Question....... What do you think about this new kid - Matthew (Water Boy) Busche? OK, so I created a new knickname for him, but he looks to be the next....well, Chris Horner!
